Help us create safe space for queer youth to meet and hone their activism skills!
Hey all,
I work for an organization that puts on an annual activism summer school for queer youth to meet and build meaningful connections while learning and sharing skills around community activism. We address issues of intersectionality. Specific areas of oppression we talk about include classism, homophobia, transphobia, racism, and sexism. The camp is run by queer youth ages 21 and under for queer youth 21 and under and their allies. It’s a completely free program for participants and we provide food and housing all three days so that everyone is taken care of. We also do our best to provide support in paying for transportation so people can come from all over.
